OBJECTIVE OF THE CLASS
To learn the key elements and procedures in an electronic spreadsheet , learn what a spreadsheet is and identify its basic elements (cells, rows, columns, data types, toolbar, and formulas) in order to understand how spreadsheets can organize and analyze information easily.
BEFORE WE BEGIN...
Let’s review the results of your summative assessment together to identify what you have mastered, as well as the areas that (even though you may have encountered or worked on them) still require further attention. Let’s take a look at the results.
NOTE: REMEMBER TO CREATE A COVER PAGE FOR THE TERM, PLACING IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR GRADE BREAKDOWN.
WHAT IS AN ELECTRONIC SPREADSHEET?
It is a type of file organized as a grid, where various kinds of information (such as text, numbers, dates, and links) can be stored. Furthermore, as the name suggests, it allows for simple arithmetic calculations to be performed using operators or functions. It is also a tool that enables us to organize and locate information, as well as create various types of charts and graphs.
The primary elements of a spreadsheet are cells, columns, and rows. Each of these has a unique name that allows us to identify it. How do we determine the name of each of these elements?
